    Congratulations Pastor Leon on Your
    Bowery Mission board appointment

Williams, Jr. as a new member.  Leon is familiar to many of you, and he will be the first Bowery Mission alumnus to serve on the Board of Directors in recent memory.  Over many years, Leon has served in a number of volunteer and staff capacities at The Bowery Mission.  Leon’s most recent staff role was serving as Alumni Relations Manager & Chaplain until December.

     

    Leon serves the body of Christ and the wider community in several other ways.  Leon has a new role as Senior Pastor of Praise Tabernacle in Albany, NY, and continues to serve as Executive Director, Stand Ministries Outreach Center, based dually in Albany and Brooklyn NY 

     

    A Navy veteran, Leon came to The Bowery Mission in dire need, experienced the Mission’s Christ-centered compassionate care, and became a vital part of its transformative community.  Leon is passionate about sharing The Bowery Mission with others, and we are grateful to welcome Leon to the Board of Directors.
